💨 Abstract
The presidential election in Sri Lanka concluded without any incidents on Saturday, marking the country's first election since its worst economic meltdown in 2022. Over 60% of the 17 million eligible voters cast their ballots. The counting of postal votes has begun, and if no candidate receives more than 50% of the votes, a second round of counting will be conducted, as voters rank up to three candidates in order of preference.
