💨 Abstract

The James Webb Space Telescope has detected carbon dioxide and hydrogen peroxide on Pluto's moon Charon, a large moon of a dwarf planet. These substances were not previously found on Charon's surface, which also contains water ice, ammonia-bearing compounds, and organic materials.
