💨 Abstract
The World Bank has announced a $12 million aid package for emergency response and recovery in Vanuatu following a 7.3 magnitude earthquake that killed at least 14 people, injured over 210, and caused significant damage to the capital Port Vila. The World Bank hopes the aid will aid in the country's recovery, job restoration, and assistance to those in need. The downtown area of Port Vila is currently closed to the public.
