đź’¨ Abstract
Yemen's Saudi-backed government initiated an operation to reclaim military positions from UAE-backed southern separatists, who reported seven Saudi airstrikes. The move escalates tensions between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, who support opposing sides in Yemen. The Saudi-backed governor of Hadramout province, Salem Ahmed Saeed al-Khunbashi, was appointed to command the "Homeland Shield" forces to restore security.
