Phosphates are essential inorganic salts of phosphoric acid used widely in agriculture, food processing, cleaning products, construction, water treatment, batteries, and fire-resistant materials. They are crucial in fertilizers, enhancing crop yields and animal feed. In food, they stabilize pH, bind moisture, and act as emulsifiers. Phosphates also soften water, prevent scale buildup, and are key in lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.
