💨 Abstract
In India, Paan chewing, a tradition dating back 2,000 years, has evolved into a public health disaster due to the addition of tobacco and aggressive marketing. Despite bans on advertising, companies use surrogate marketing. The practice, often accompanied by spitting, leads to oral cancer, particularly among young men, and creates a civic hygiene crisis. Celebrities endorse these harmful products, contributing to the problem.
