The article discusses the challenges faced by caregivers of individuals with chronic mental and physical disabilities. Inspired by former Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud's struggle to find housing for his adopted daughters with Nemaline Myopathy, the author reflects on a community gathering where a fit octogenarian reveals his motivation: caring for his wheelchair-bound son.
