💨 Abstract

China has sanctioned Canadian institutions and individuals advocating for Uighur and Tibetan rights, and has imposed restrictions at the Larung Gar Buddhist Academy in Tibet. China also hosted the South China Sea Buddhism Shenzhen roundtable in Nepal, while India has protested against China's plans to construct a dam over the Brahmaputra River and forming new counties in the Hotan prefecture incorporating areas of Ladakh.
