💨 Abstract
A collision between a container truck and a livestock trailer carrying 200 pigs on the N2 at Sir Lowry's Pass resulted in the death of four pigs and injury to several others. The Cape of Good Hope SPCA and three other Cape Animal Welfare Forum member organizations quickly responded, working alongside emergency services and law enforcement to alleviate the pigs' suffering in the heat and assess the animals' condition.
