💨 Abstract
South African Transport Minister Barbara Creecy has invited private investors to contribute to the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) through Requests for Information (RFIs). The move aims to modernize PRASA, improve efficiency, and expand services like digital ticketing and high-speed rail. Creecy highlights the need for private investment to sustain PRASA’s recovery, which has already reopened 35 of 40 passenger corridors.
