💨 Abstract
Jilly Cooper, the best-selling British novelist known for her racy, humorous books like *Riders* and *Rivals*, has died at 88. Her works, filled with sex, snobbery, and glamour, sold millions and inspired deep fan loyalty. A 2024 Disney+ adaptation of *Rivals* introduced her to new audiences. Born in Yorkshire, she began as a journalist before achieving fame with her Rutshire Chronicles.
