💨 Abstract

Controversial businessman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala sued the South African Police Service (SAPS) to retrieve items seized from his home, including firearms, phones, and a Rolex. The Pretoria High Court dismissed his application due to lack of urgency. SAPS General Dumisani Khumalo testified that the items were seized due to suspected violations of the Firearms Control Act. Matlala is currently detained on charges including attempted murder and money laundering.
