đź’¨ Abstract
Three City of Tshwane employees will appear in Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on 2 July, accused of stealing a R7 million transformer. Initially, 11 suspects were arrested in November 2024, including subcontractors, but only one remained in custody. The arrests follow an investigation by the Gauteng Organised Crime Unit. Police expect more arrests as the investigation proceeds and assure the public of their commitment to tackling such crimes.
