💨 Abstract

Former Police Minister Bheki Cele suggested that Anele Tembe, girlfriend of rapper AKA, was murdered and that the investigation was mishandled by prosecutors. Tembe died in a fall from a hotel in Cape Town in 2021. Cele claimed that police believed it was murder but prosecutors failed to proceed, leading to an unresolved inquest. The family has disputed the initial findings, and the investigation remains active.
