💨 Abstract
Calvin Le John, son of South African Minister Gayton McKenzie, acquired soccer club Siwelele FC (formerly SuperSport United) for R50 million. He raised the funds by selling properties and shares in the family’s diamond mine. Le John denied rumors of corrupt dealings, stating he has no involvement in state tenders. Siwelele FC will debut in the Betway Premiership on August 9.
