💨 Abstract

Exercising in nature offers significant benefits over indoor workouts, including reduced stress, improved mood, and better long-term motivation. A study from the University of Copenhagen found that outdoor exercise in green surroundings led to faster recovery, lower cortisol levels, and higher heart-rate variability compared to indoor workouts. Participants also reported greater joy, less fatigue, and increased motivation to continue. Nature enhances both physical and mental well-being, making outdoor exercise a more enjoyable and effective fitness option.
