💨 Abstract
A Cape Town distillery, IBHU, is the sole producer of Ndlovu gin, infused with elephant dung. The idea originated from a safari in Kenya, where the founders, Paula and Les Ainsley, learned about the safe botanicals in elephant poo. The gin is made by emulsifying a London dry gin base with dried elephant dung, resulting in a golden-colored drink. Despite initial skepticism, the gin has gained international attention and is exported to several countries.
