Elderly South Africans are experiencing unexplained suspensions of their SASSA Older Persons Grant. Many pensioners, who rely on these grants for essentials, report not receiving payments or receiving reduced amounts without any notification. SASSA's new Proof of Living requirements, aimed at preventing fraud, may be inadvertently affecting legitimate beneficiaries. Pensioners are advised to visit SASSA offices for clarification if their grants are suspended or reduced.
