💨 Abstract

In the article, it is investigated if cars were more expensive 10 years ago in South Africa compared to current prices, adjusted for inflation. The analysis focuses on popular car models like Volkswagen Polo, Toyota Corolla, and Ford Fiesta. Despite a significant increase in prices over the decade, the inflation-adjusted pricing shows that some cars are actually cheaper now compared to 10 years ago.
