đ¨ Abstract
During the festive season, Gauteng SAPS' Water Policing and Diving Services recovered 28 bodies from various locations across the province. Recovered bodies included murder victims, illegal fishermen, and individuals swept away by strong currents. The surge in rescue and recovery operations was due to heavy rains and flooding. SAPS urges the public to exercise caution around bodies of water, emphasizing safety measures.
