💨 Abstract
South Sudan’s Vice-President Riek Machar has been charged with treason, murder, and crimes against humanity over a March 2025 militia attack in Nasir, Upper Nile State, allegedly carried out by his White Army. President Salva Kiir suspended Machar, and 21 suspects, including Petroleum Minister Puot Kang Chol, face prosecution.
