💨 Abstract
Following violent clashes in Addo, Eastern Cape, hundreds of Zimbabwean immigrants were displaced, with four deaths reported. The violence, stemming from a tavern fight, escalated when locals attacked immigrants in retaliation for one of the suspects being released. Dozens of immigrants were injured, and many sought refuge in police stations and churches. A Zimbabwean community leader apologized, emphasizing their quest for survival. Some immigrants remain hospitalized, highlighting the severe impact of the attacks.
