💨 Abstract
A former financial officer at Delmas Primary School in Mpumalanga was arrested for stealing over R2 million. Larrisa Vern, 52, was convicted of fraud and money laundering and sentenced to 15 years in prison, with five years suspended. Investigations revealed Vern funnelled money through multiple accounts, causing a loss of R2.79 million. The Asset Forfeiture Unit is set to seize her assets.
