💨 Abstract

A Bloemfontein woman, Keabetswe Moroane, was convicted of culpable homicide after her Pitbull attacked and killed her neighbor’s 8-year-old son in November 2022. The court found Moroane negligent for failing to protect residents despite knowing her dog had a history of aggression. The case highlights the responsibility of dog owners to ensure public safety. Sentencing is set for 2 September 2025.
