💨 Abstract
South Africa plans to introduce digital driving tests in 2025, using geofencing and biometric identification to streamline the process and combat fraudulent licenses. The Road Traffic Management Corporation is nearly ready to roll out the tests, which will be piloted this year. The new system is expected to speed up the application process and flag individuals with outstanding enforcement orders or illegal immigration status.
