💨 Abstract
The International Criminal Court (ICC) sentenced Patrice-Edouard Ngaïssona, former football chief of the Central African Republic (CAR), to 12 years in prison for war crimes, including murder, torture, and persecution. Ngaïssona led Anti-Balaka militias targeting Muslim civilians during the 2013-2014 civil war. The court also sentenced Alfred Yekatom, another Anti-Balaka leader, to 15 years.
