💨 Abstract

A healthcare couple from St Elizabeth Hospital in Lusikisiki, Eastern Cape, were shot and killed in their home on the night of 21 May 2025. The 39-year-old woman, a professional nurse, and the 41-year-old man, a deputy director were ambushed by masked gunmen at around 19:50. The assailants demanded to see the wife and forced the husband inside before fatally shooting both.
