💨 Abstract
The article discusses a recent study revealing employment in South Africa varies across different regions. The study, conducted by the Human Sciences Research Council, analyzed labor absorption rates between 1996 and 2020 and found that some regions, like the Western Cape, have significantly higher absorption rates than others, such as the Eastern Cape. The research also showed that areas with higher employment rates are more urbanized, have higher functional literacy rates, and better educational facilities.
