💨 Abstract
Eskom reports that South Africa's power system is resiliently meeting winter electricity demands. Since mid-May 2025, there has been no load shedding, with only 26 hours recorded between April and mid-July 2025. The utility expects an additional 3,330 MW of capacity to return by July 21, 2025, due to structural improvements and effective management of occasional constraints.
