💨 Abstract
Professor Firoz Cachalia was appointed as acting Minister of Police while Senzo Mchunu takes leave amid corruption investigations. Cachalia, chair of the National Anti-Corruption Advisory Council, was slightly delayed in receiving his fateful call from President Ramaphosa. He was watching Wimbledon, his phone was charging in another room. The presidency contacted his brother and eventually his wife to reach him.
