💨 Abstract

In June 2025, South Africa experienced a slight decrease in fuel prices despite a levy hike, providing minor relief to drivers. Starting June 4, 2025, petrol prices fell by about 4 cents per litre, and diesel by up to 37 cents, due to a stronger rand and lower global oil prices. The general fuel levy increased to R4.01 per litre for petrol and R3.85
