💨 Abstract
South Africa will experience the first Supermoon of 2025, known as the Harvest Moon, on October 6. The moon will be at its full phase at 5:48 AM on October 7, appearing larger and up to 14% brighter due to its proximity to Earth. The Harvest Moon, traditionally used by farmers to gather crops, marks a seasonal shift towards warmer days.
