💨 Abstract
South African motorists are advised to fill up their vehicles today due to an impending spike in fuel prices. Recent geopolitical events, including Israel's attack on Iran, have caused oil prices to rise and the rand to weaken, leading to increased fuel costs. The Central Energy Fund projects significant increases for petrol (50-53 cents per litre) and diesel (82-84 cents per litre) prices starting July 1, 2025.
