💨 Abstract

Acting Gauteng High Court judge Aubrey Ledwaba faces serious allegations of accepting a R2.5 million bribe to grant bail to murder-accused businessman Katiso ‘KT’ Molefe. Witnesses testified at the Madlanga Commission, claiming the judge’s decision appeared biased and premeditated. Ledwaba denied the allegations and refused to take special leave. Chief Justice Mandisa Maya warned the claims could damage judicial integrity and urged formal complaints.
