💨 Abstract
Karen Stander, chairperson of the NSFAS Board, has resigned, citing serious allegations of bullying, intimidation, racism, and threats to personal safety within the organization. Minister of Higher Education Buti Manamela has acknowledged the resignation and will meet with Stander to discuss the issues. A scheduled meeting with the full NSFAS board will proceed to address governance and accountability concerns.
