💨 Abstract

Over 480 individuals, including four minors, appeared in Barberton court on illegal mining charges following a major police operation. Arrested at Barberton Mine on August 1, 2025, the charges include trespassing, theft of gold-bearing materials, and immigration violations. Bail was granted to 26 without prior convictions, while others were remanded in custody.
