đź’¨ Abstract
The United States pressured France to disinvite South African President Cyril Ramaphosa from the G7 summit in June. This decision follows months of strained relations due to various issues, including South Africa's case against Israel and Trump's claims of "white genocide." The South African presidency confirmed that France withdrew the invitation due to U.S. threats to boycott the summit if South Africa was included. Despite this, South Africa remains committed to engaging with the U.S. and France.
