đź’¨ Abstract
Donald Trump shared a misleading video with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, claiming it showed evidence of a campaign to kill white farmers, allegedly amounting to "genocide." The video contained several falsehoods. One segment showed crosses from a 2020 protest, falsely claiming they marked graves. Another incorrectly identified a politician’s speech about land occupation as government-backed. Trump also misrepresented an old struggle-era song as a call for killing farmers.
