💨 Abstract
South African surfer Luke Thompson has qualified for the WSL Championship Tour, securing a spot alongside fellow countryman Jordy Smith. The 22-year-old from Durban will compete in all twelve events this season without a mid-season cut. Thompson's breakthrough came after winning his home event in Ballito last year and solid performances at the Newcastle Surf Fest. He will join the tour just in time for the first event at Bells Beach over the Easter weekend.
