Elon Musk's Starlink is closer to operating in South Africa after the Department of Communication and Digital Technologies amended Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) laws. Minister Solly Malatsi gazetted the final policy direction on the Equity Equivalent Investment Programme (EEIP), which aims to provide regulatory clarity and expand high-speed internet access.
