💨 Abstract
The UN is warning of a potential famine in Sudan due to a drastic reduction in food aid from major donors such as the US, Germany, and the UK. The World Food Programme (WFP) needs $200 million urgently to continue providing essential assistance to the millions of refugees and hungry individuals across Sudan and seven neighboring countries. There’s an ongoing power struggle in the country between two military leaders, which worsens existing economic and security problems.
