Sweden has opened a new honorary consulate in Cape Town to strengthen ties with the Western and Eastern Cape regions. Entrepreneur Carl Fredrik Sammeli, founder of Bitprop, has been appointed honorary consul and will help local communities build rental units for inclusive economic growth. Sweden's Ambassador highlighted the shared values and historic solidarity between the two nations, emphasizing justice, sustainability, and inclusive prosperity.
