💨 Abstract

Two men, aged 29 and 58, died during the swimming leg of the IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon in Mossel Bay. They were pulled from the water around 07:40 and rushed to the hospital, where one was pronounced dead shortly after arrival and the other later in the morning. Police have opened inquest dockets, and post-mortem examinations are scheduled.
