💨 Abstract

As December begins, South Africa is expected to experience continued wet weather with widespread rain and potential flooding due to severe thunderstorms. The country has already seen above-average rainfall driven by the El Niño–Southern Oscillation and Indian Ocean sea-surface temperatures.
