South African UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis threw out the first pitch at a Chicago Cubs game ahead of his title defense against Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 319. Du Plessis, with an 11-fight winning streak, won the title in January 2024 and successfully defended it before this upcoming fight.
