💨 Abstract

All Blacks captain Scott Barrett is out for up to five months due to a back injury requiring surgery, missing the Springboks series and other key matches. Barrett, who recently returned from a sabbatical, will also miss the Nations Championship Tests against France, Italy, and Ireland. His future as captain and starting lock is uncertain with new coach Dave Rennie considering other leadership options. The Crusaders will also be without Will Jordan for the rest of the Super Rugby season due to a calf injury.
