💨 Abstract
Rugby Australia has scrapped the "Giteau Law," allowing Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt to select overseas-based players freely, mirroring South Africa's selection policy in preparation for the 2027 Rugby World Cup. This change, made during the successful Lions series, enables the selection of top European and Japan-based stars like Will Skelton and Samu Kerevi. Domestic players will still be prioritized when equally qualified.
