💨 Abstract
This Saturday, the Springboks begin their 2025 international season with a Test match against Italy. The game will feature a new law trial, the 20-minute red card, approved by the World Rugby Council. This rule allows a team to return to full strength after 20 minutes if a player receives a red card for foul play not deemed intentional. Referees can still issue permanent red cards for deliberate and highly dangerous offenses.
