Former Springbok rugby player Bevin Fortuin, 46, passed away after suffering a suspected heart attack before a practice with the Northam Rhinos. Born in George, he made his Springbok debut in 2006 and played two Test matches, both resulting in losses. Fortuin had a notable coaching career, leading the SWD Eagles and the Northam Rhinos. His contributions to rugby were deeply felt by his community.
