After a 0-0 draw, Kaizer Chiefs lost 3-2 on penalties to Asante Kotoko in the Toyota Cup. Despite controlling the game, the Amakhosi failed to convert chances, notably missing a penalty in the 82nd minute. Thabo Cele was outstanding, dictating play from midfield, while Nkosingiphile Ngcobo and Flavinho created several opportunities.
